Introduction
Le Saint Gély Basketball, club de basketball de la ville de Saint-Gély-du-Fesc (commune située à 5 minutes de voiture de Montpellier), se démarque par son dynamisme, son importance (plus de 340 licenciés en 2016), sa capacité à accueillir des joueurs de tout niveau, des débutants aux joueurs pouvant évoluer en championnat de France.
Notre club permet aux jeunes de réaliser leur passion en devenant coach, arbitre, apprenant ainsi toutes les règles de ce beau sport.
Le Saint Gély Basketball tente par ailleurs d’innover en proposant différentes manières de progresser et vivre sa passion. Nous vous proposons ainsi de prendre part au plus gros événement pré-saison de la région Languedoc-Roussillon, le Premier Camp International Saint Gély Pic Saint-Loup.
L’intérêt de participer à ce camp :
- Une belle expérience d’échange avec des joueurs d’autres régions, potentiellement d’autres pays.
- L’apprentissage avec des entraîneurs qualifiés de divers horizons.
- Une excellente préparation pour la saison 2016/17, avec un match par jour.
- Créer une cohésion entre les joueurs dès le début de saison.
- Profiter d’un camp de qualité à moindre frais.

Quand ?
Du dimanche 21 (au soir) au samedi 27 août (matin).
Où ?
Le camp se déroulera sur plusieurs sites : Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, Saint-Clément-de-Rivière et Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers
Pour qui ?
Cet événement est ouvert pour les joueurs U15 et U17 masculins (cette année).
C’est un tournoi de niveau région / inter-région / département premier niveau.

Les conditions
Le montant du camp est de 250€ par joueur et comprend :
- Une tenue complète d’entraînement
- Les séances d’entraînement par des coachs qualifiés
- Les matchs / les déplacements entre 9h et 21h
- Cinq repas du midi
- L’hébergement au sein des familles des licenciés du Saint Gély Basketball

Saint Gely Basketball is organizing its first international basketball tournament and camp in the South of France. The goals are to prepare teams for the 2016/17 season and have a once in a lifetime experience, exchanging international culture through a common passion : basketball.
When is it?
The arrival date would be Sunday August 21st and departure date Saturday August 27th.
What is it and where?
A Basketball tournament and camp very close to the city of Montpellier, one of the most beautiful cities in Southern France. Saint Gely Basketball is a club in a town just North of Montpellier called Saint-Gely-du-Fesc and represents the basketball community in the Grand Pic Saint-Loup domain.
Who is organizing ?
The Saint Gely Basketball club, one of the biggest clubs in the greater Montpellier area. A proud club, with a proud history of basketball over the past 34 seasons, Saint Gely Basketball is eager once again prove its capacity to organize events on a grand scale. The club recently hosted the tournament for the Coupe de l’Herault (department) in 2015, and had over 500 spectators in attendance for our U17 Final match. Saint Gely Basketballs’ hope is to offer an even better experience to the visiting teams, one that will continue to promote and push basketball at the club, in the department, and the region.
Who is the tournament for ?
The tournament is for U15 teams (players born in 2002 and 2003) and U17 teams (players born in 2000 and 2001)
Daily schedule
Morning camp working by position group, followed by lunch and time to decompress and/or team practice time followed by games at the end of the day into the evening. We will have three different gyms at our disposal, as well as a gym for physical preparation, so practice time should not be an issue. All of the gyms are within the commune of the Grand Pic Saint-Loup. We will conclude the camp and tournament with a banquette with all teams and families invited, giving out rewards and trophies to the different winners (finals, MVP etc,)
Where would you stay ?
Players would be staying with host families of our basketball club.
How much does it cost ?
The club is asking for 250 euros per player, this includes food, six nights with the host families, a camp t-shirt/jersey and transportation to and from the gyms.
What are the coaches rolls ?
Each couch will be a participant in the coaching of the camp. They will be split between the different gyms and physical preparation center. Saint Gely Basketball will provide it’s men coach Nicolas Perez, as well as other coaches from the club. Of course, assistant coaches are welcome and encouraged!
